The Bhavan’s Summer School is the major training-oriented Indian cultural event in the UK. Students come from all over the UK and Europe. Summer School participants have a rare opportunity for intensive professional standard study with some of the best teachers from India and the UK.

Aims of the Bhavan’s Summer School

The Summer School furthers the Bhavan’s aims to develop the role of music and dance in
a multi-cultural society by:

  • Improving performance skills in all its participants.
  • Generating a wider understanding of the art forms.
  • Helping to forge essential links between current training practice in India and young practitioners in Britain.
  • Preparing advanced students for professional careers in their chosen art form.
