Bharatanatyam Dance Recital with Janani Murali

The Bhavan presents a Bharatanatyam Dance recital with Janani Murali. She has been training in the Pandanallur style of Bharathanatyam under the guidance of her mother and Guru Smt. Padma Murali since the young age of 5.
Considered a top artist in Doordarshan and empaneled artiste of ICCR, she has been invited to perform at several prestigious avenues in India and abroad. Her international sojourns include performances at the TNV Festivalen in Norway, Indo-German Association at Bonn, Cochrane Theatre in London and performances across the Americas.
The recipient of the “Narthana Shiromani”, “Nalanda Nruthya Nipuna” Awards and the “Padmavati Puraskar”, Janani in addition to being a soloist, has to her credit lead roles in the ballets of Padmalaya Dance Foundation. She has also been invited as Speaker to conferences and seminars on Dance and Art. Janani is an executive member of the International Dance Alliance, Bangalore Chapter and Associate Artistic Director of Padmalaya Dance Foundation. Janani is also an exponent of Odissi (Guru Sharmila Mukerjee).
Janani’s love for art and dance takes her beyond performances and teaching to voice-over projects and art writing. An avid admirer of Indian mythology, she regularly writes and produces dance- theatre projects and is a contributing author for art publications.
