| Description: | If you missed it at the Southbank earlier this month, do not make the same mistake again. Back by popular demand, Sanskrit play Saakshii Shillaa: Witness Rock which took the Alchemy Festival by storm and was watched by no less than one thousand people, will be performed once again in the second half of this event. The first half of the programme will explain the beauty, content and styles of vedic recitations by experts from India. Conducted by M.N Chandrashekhara, Vidvan M.S Ramesh Avadhani and Vidvan Subhanu Saxena. Professor Chandrashekhara and Vidvan Ramesh Avadhani hail from a community of Vedic scholars; Vidvan Subhanu Saxena is a leading executive at one of the world's largest companies and an authority on Vedanta. There will also be dance interpretation of Vedic hymns. |
