Padma Bhushan Sangeetha Kalanidhi  T. V. Sankaranarayanan is a Carnatic vocalist, known for his music that stems from the style of his late uncle and guru, Madurai Mani Iyer, with yet his individualistic approach to music. Having performed worldwide, and fondly referred to as TVS, he has had the rare privilege of stalwarts like Lalgudi Jayaraman, M. S. Gopalakrishnan, T. K. Murthy, Murugabhoopathy, Palghat Raghu, Umayalapuram Sivaraman and a host of other seniors. The Bhavan resident teachers Balu Raguraman will accompany him for this performance on violin, and M Balachandar on mridangam.

The Bhavan presents the 2nd Pandit Ravi Shankar Memorial Music Festival. Pandit Ravi Shankar, KBE was one of the best-known proponents of the sitar in the 20th century and influenced many musicians throughout the world. This concert is a part of a two-day celebration honouring his memory with music.
