Exhibitions
Since 2001, we have had over a hundred exhibitions ranging from solo shows to artists retrospectives. Our eclectic mix have ranged from Nek Chand, Fridda Brilliant, Raja Ravi Varma Oleographs, Contemporary Indian Art, Picchvai Paintings, Video art, South Asian Dance Retrospectives, Chinese Book art to Japanese art and Nepalese Scroll (Thangka) paintings. We also encourage students and artists to exhibit in our space. The gallery has been used by artist groups – printmakers, ceramicists, photographers, painters and installation/media artists.

Anita Kapur curates Indian miniature painting exhibitions by commissioning artists in India. She has presented many shows at The Bhavan.

Traditional and Antique miniature paintings on cloth which serve as backdrops in Krishna temples are called Pichhvais. This was a breathtaking collection from visual Art UK for Asian Art in London 2011.
