n this talk, Kirit Chitara will share the history and evolution of Mata Ni Pachedi, tracing its origins and cultural significance with the communities that have sustained the tradition for generations.

He will discuss the intricate process of creating these textiles – from hand drawing to use of natural dyes and explain the meanings behind the motifs, colours and iconography. A rare insight into a textile tradition where art, devotion, community and storytelling come together on cloth.
