 idya Bhavan.\n\n\nThis fascinating exhibition celebrates the crafts associ
 ated with the folk dance and ritual of Garba\, recognised by UNESCO as Th
 e Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity\n\nWhile often understood throu
 gh movement and music\, Garba is equally a story of craft. It  highlight
 s the craft traditions woven into the ritual of Garba—clothing\, adornme
 nt\, offerings\, and festive decoration that shape the dance space and the
  body in motion.  Every mirror-stitched garment\, textile\, clay vessel\
 , and ornament reflects generations of artisan knowledge. This project exp
 lores Garba through the objects that make it possible revealing how ritual
 \, textile\, wood\, and clay/bead crafts shape a living performance tradit
 ion.\n\nA year long programme of various craft activities engaged local co
 mmunities with artisans. These crafts shape the body\, the shrine and the 
 dance circle itself ensuring that they remain living\, shared and relevant
  today in modern Britain.  Together with these crafts\, field research i
 n Gujarat was undertaken  connecting with local artisans and exploring ho
 w these crafts are practised in India and how different communities intera
 ct to make dresses\, ritual pots\, and musical instruments.\nCome and expl
 ore  this captivating  Gujarati culture and heritage through objects\, f
 ilm and workshops.\nDates for workshops to be announced shortly\n\nPlease 
 note that parking restrictions apply on the streets surrounding The Bhava
 n every day from 8:30 am to 10:00 pm\, with a maximum parking duration of
  one hour. However\, visitors to The Bhavan can take advantage of concess
 ional parking with no maximum time limit by using the terminal installed i
 nside the venue. Please ensure that you enter your vehicle registration n
 umber and pay for your parking after arriving at The Bhavan.
