A programme of talks and demonstrations will be held at The Bhavan featuring Professor Eiluned Edwards (Leverhulme Emeritus Research Fellow) and Master weaver, ShamjiVishram Valji Vankar (National Craft Awardee, 2005). Eiluned’ s research has focused on textiles, dress and craft in Kachchh since the early 1990s and she and Shamji have collaborated on several projects. Shamji, a member of a long line of weavers in Kachchh, is also an entrepreneur and designer who works nationally and  internationally.
