In this illustrated talk, a GP and a mathematics teacher & Hindustani Classical Vocalist from King’s Lynn recount their extraordinary 28,200km overland journey from England to India. Travelling through 21 countries along routes once linked to the Silk Road, their 111-day expedition explores history that has connected civilisations for centuries. Along the way, they reflect on encounters, the challenges and conversations about global health and diabetes awareness. Blending travel narrative, cultural reflection and personal insight, Odyssean Journey is a story of connection, curiosity and rediscovering the ties between East and West.
