Madhubani Art Workshop – Sat 18 Jul | 2.00pm – 5.00pm | £40 :

In this workshop, participants will learn about the origins of Madhubani painting and its deep connection to mythology, nature, festivals, rituals, and everyday life. We will look at how this art form has been passed down through generations and how stories are brought to life through patterns, colours, and symbols.

Participants will create their own Madhubani-inspired artwork using traditional motifs such as flowers, birds, fish, trees, borders, and decorative patterns. The workshop will encourage everyone to add their own personal interpretation, making each artwork unique.

Warli Art Workshop – Sun 19 Jul | 2.00pm – 5.00pm | £40:

In this workshop, participants will be introduced to the history, symbols, and storytelling traditions of Warli art. Using simple shapes such as lines, circles, triangles, and figures, we will explore how Warli artists tell stories of everyday life, nature, rituals, celebration, and community.

Participants will then create their own Warli-inspired artwork, combining traditional techniques with their own imagination and personal story. The session is designed to be relaxed, enjoyable, and meaningful, giving everyone the chance to connect with Indian folk art through creativity and storytelling.

Note: This workshop is suitable for ages 15+. No prior drawing or art experience is needed. All materials and guide books will be provided.
