“Vasundhara” The Earth Festival, London was inaugurated in 2021 as the annual event of Roopalasya School of Dance and a humble dedication to Guru Vasundhara Doraswamy for her contribution towards the field of art. In association with UV Events Ltd., this year we present international renowned artist Guru Priyadarsini Govind from Chennai, India.
About the artist:
Priyadarsini Govind is a renowned Bharatanatyam artist, mentor and former Director of Kalakshetra Foundation known for her mastery of Abhinaya and commitment to tradition in modern context. She founded NavaDarshana to promote holistic dance learning and developed the Learning Ladder methodology, widely taught across institutions globally. In 2022, she conceptualised Yavanika, a dance on film that toured North America in 2025. Her contributions extend to academic programs, intensives and teacher training initiatives. She is a recipient of the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award and the prestigious Nritya Kalanidhi honour, among many others.
Please note that parking restrictions apply on the streets surrounding The Bhavan every day from 8:30 am to 10:00 pm, with a maximum parking duration of one hour. However, visitors to The Bhavan can take advantage of concessional parking with no maximum time limit by using the terminal installed inside the venue.
