Smt Sudha Murty’s philanthropic work is rooted in a profound commitment to education, cultural heritage and the preservation of artistic traditions, making her support especially meaningful to The Bhavan’s mission to nurture, preserve and promote Indian arts and culture in the UK. She has been supporting The Bhavan’s activities since 2008, reflecting more than a decade and a half of sustained encouragement for our cultural and educational work. Her presence as Chief Guest at The Bhavan’s Diwali Gala 2024, where she spoke of the importance of cultural roots, further reflected this longstanding association. Her contribution has also played an important role in supporting the educational development of The Bhavan London, particularly through its Summer School programme, which continues to provide meaningful opportunities for artistic learning and cultural engagement for younger generations.
