Hatha Yoga

Yoga, celebrated as the most potent form of Indian Science of Life, is a constitution of various moves, all of which target growth of the human personality as a whole. In the perspective of Yoga, there are five aspects that govern one’s personality. They include the physical, mental, intellectual, emotional and spiritual facets, each of which has immense relevance in forging the consummate human personality.

Yoga Asanas cleanse and purify various parts of the body, both internal and external. Without causing excessive fatigue, Yoga serenely relaxes muscles and nourishes internal organs by enhancing their oxygen absorption capacities. Through the illustrious Yogic Pranayama, one can gain supreme control over the mind besides augmenting memory capacity and effortlessly dealing with emotional imbalances if they were to occur.

Iyengar Yoga

Iyengar yoga is a form of hatha yoga which is renowned for attention to detail and alignment. The immediate benefits of yoga are greater flexibility and strength, and better physical health. As you continue with your practice, psychological and spiritual benefits begin to appear – such as a quieter mind. The teachers hold the Iyengar Yoga Certification Mark, and use teaching methods developed by BKS Iyengar. The Bhavan offers courses suitable for both beginners and more experienced students. Students should bring their own yoga mat; all other equipment is provided.
